A bakery is an establishment which produces or/and sells baked goods. Baked goods are prepared in an oven. Bakeries produce food items such as: bread, pies, pastries, cakes and cupcakes, muffins, biscuits, cookies, crackers, rolls, pretzels, bagels, doughnuts, and other items prepared by bakers. Some retail bakeries are also cafes, serving coffee and tea to customers who wish to enjoy the freshly baked goods and goodies.
Sometimes those establishments are also called baker’s shop, baker-house or bakehouse.
